Nawab’s Indian Restaurant
It’s finally here folks. We had written about Nawab’s Indian Restaurant months ago when we learned that it was in the works, but now we can happily report that they’re open for business. Nawab’s Indian Restaurant is focused on Punjabi cuisine from the north of India. The menu features lots of vegetarian dishes, your typical curries of lamb or chicken plus a few southern and mid-country call-outs. Oh, and don’t forget the large selection of naan bread for you to enjoy. The restaurant is located at Kickapoo Corners Shopping Center on 3654 S. Campbell Ave. Go check it out.
D’vine Delicatessen
We have a new delicatessen market and wine store in town, and it’s totally worth checking out. They are bringing in a selection of gourmet products from all over Europe and a good amount from Spain. The owner, Doug Gruenberg, comes from the world of Dean & DeLuca, and he’s ready to share his knowledge and passion for wine and food with Springfield. For now, D’vine Delicatessen and Wine is serving sandwiches and salads but soon there will be charcuterie boards with different location themes and all sorts of fun accouterments. And don’t let me forget the wine by the glass or bottle to be enjoyed as well. Go visit them at 3522 S. National Ave.
Celebration of Taste
Big Cedar Lodge is hosting its 28th Annual Celebration of Taste event on February 4 and 5, and guests can expect a weekend packed with lots of food, wine and the beauty of the Ozarks. The food and wine pairings are put together by Napa Valley’s Prisoner Wine Company and Big Cedar’s Executive Chef Ted Hill. Chrissy Whittman, Director of Winemaking will be explaining the blend process while you get to enjoy some awesome food pairings along the way. There is a tasting seminar and a five-course meal at Worman House and so much more. For more information, click here.
The Social Birdy
A new recreation and leisure project is in the works for Branson Hills called the Social Birdy. It sounds like they didn’t miss one detail when planning this place out. It will include a pickleball court, a pro-style golf putting course, golf simulators and some delicious food and beverages by Downing Street Pour House of Hollister. It will be a 9,000-square-foot venue meant to keep everyone entertained, satisfied and happy. We will keep you guys posted with updates.
