Cecil’s To Go
Find It: Springfield Mobile Food Park,
836 N. Glenstone Ave., Springfield; Farmers Market of the Ozarks, 2144 E. Republic Rd., Springfield
Make Sure You Order: You can’t go wrong with the fresh flavors that are all over this truck’s menu, but our very favorite is the falafel pita sandwich topped with luscious tahini.
Chef Baldee’s Pizza
Find It: Springfield Mobile Food Park,
836 N. Glenstone Ave., Springfield
Make Sure You Order: This thin-crust pizza really hits the spot with its perfect combo of crispy crust and gooey cheese. Do yourself a favor and ask for the special and hope it’s the yummy spinach-alfredo flavor.
Elotes Don Tono
Find It: 1314 S. Glenstone Ave., Springfield
Make Sure You Order: All the authentic Mexican dishes we’ve tried here have been delish, but for a real treat, order the tamales. The masa is perfection. Get a side of corn on the cob topped with butter, cheese, sour cream, salt and spicy chili powder. And if you’re not so sure about all of that, try the stellar tacos.
The Hibiscus Jerk Hut
Find It: 1007 N. Boonville Ave., Springfield
Make Sure You Order: Get your Jamaican flavors on without having to make a bunch of decisions by ordering a sampler. The Grand Sampler comes with jerk chicken, brown stew chicken and curry chicken.
London Calling Pasty Company
Find It: Springfield Mobile Food Park,
836 N. Glenstone Ave., Springfield
Make Sure You Order: This perfectly British-themed spot (you can dine inside a big, red double-decker bus next to a charming red phone booth!) specializes in flaky pastries filled with delicious savory tastes. For a bold flavor, go for the Steak and Stilton Pasty, filled with potato, onion, tender steak and plenty of pungent stilton cheese.
Momma Mary’s Navajo Tacos
Find It: Springfield Mobile Food Park,
836 N. Glenstone Ave., Springfield
Make Sure You Order: A Navajo taco, of course. This delectable treat starts with a huge piece of homemade frybread that is topped with beans, meat, lettuce, cheese, salsa and more. You’ll need a fork for this taco, and it’s definitely big enough to leave you with some tasty leftovers after lunch.
Not’cho Ordinary Taco

Make Sure You Order: Try one of the clever specials, like the Hawaiian Surf & Turf that comes with teriyaki steak and shrimp topped with pineapple chutney, spicy aioli, lettuce and Swiss cheese.
The Paddy Wagon Grill
Find It: Springfield Mobile Food Park,
836 N. Glenstone Ave., Springfield
Make Sure You Order: The Southwest Sweet Potato Fries marry spicy, sweet and savory in the best way. The fries feature barbecue seasoning, crumbled smoked Gouda cheese, sliced jalapenos, smoky chipotle sauce, cheddar cheese sauce and a spicy pickle on top.
Tac-o the Town
Find It: Follow them at
Make Sure You Order: Get some slow-cooked crispy beef tacos topped with pickled onions, then ask for a side of creamy elotes.
Twisted Mike’s
Find It: Springfield Mobile Food Park,
836 N. Glenstone Ave., Springfield
Make Sure You Order: Get one of the fancy frites dishes, like the steak fries. They start with double-fried French fries that are topped with marinated onions, tender steak, house seasoning and zippy chimichurri sauce.
Sweet!
Find It: Follow them at facebook.com/tacothetown1
Make Sure You Order: This sweet truck (from the same people who are behind Tac-o the Town) serves up savory gourmet hot dogs along with a variety of sweet treats. Go nuts and dig into a gooey lava cake with fun toppings.
The Wheelhouse
Find It: 1670 E. Saint Louis St., Springfield
Make Sure You Order: All of the worldly flavors here are delish (we seriously haven’t had something we didn’t love), but you should be sure to try the creative specials. At press time, they were serving South African fried bean cake fritters.
