1. The Workshop
840 Finley Farms Lane, Ozark, 417-210-6644
Get a warm drink (we suggest the classic Chai Latte made with Hugo chai tea and Ozark Mountain Creamery milk) and cuddle up in one of The Workshop’s cozy chairs. This spot’s brick fireplace is large enough to allow seating around all three sides, but if you’re not lucky enough to snag a seat beside it we can guarantee you’ll still feel it’s warmth from across the room.
2. Hotel Vandivort
305 E Walnut St, Springfield, 417-832-1515
Hotel Vandivort offers several cozy fireplace spots from the gas fireplace in the sitting area of the lobby to the two-way fireplace in the Master Suite. But our personal favorite spots in the winter are the heated igloos at Vantage Rooftop Bar & Conservatory. While these may not have the element of fire, they provide just as much warmth with a creative approach to soaking up the Springfield winter scene.
3. Top of the Rock
150 Top of the Rock Road, Ridgedale, 800-225-6343
Top of the Rock not only offers sweeping views of Table Rock Lake, but roaring fireplaces to elevate your temperature and comfort. There are numerous rustic fireplaces to choose from, including your own private fireplace at their one-room cottage or Jack’s cabin. We like the round one inside Osage Restaurant, which offers the perfect meal with a view outside of the floor-to-ceiling windows.
4. Farmer’s Gastropub
2620 S Glenstone Ave, Springfield, 417-864-6994
This spot is by far the most exclusive on the list, as you have to be quite lucky (or have made a very specific reservation) to snag the table in front of the fireplace. The lucky ones who do get the chance to eat their meal listening to the fire crackle and feel its warmth understand what makes this spot better than any other table.
5. The Keeter Center
1 Opportunity Ave, Point Lookout, 417-239-1900
The Keeter Center is filled with cozy nooks that make you want to curl up with a book and blanket and spend the rest of the day there, but their most cozy-inspiring spot is beside their floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace.
